I still remember that I met Corinne Votteler in Music Shanghai Exhibition 2004. The magnificent Bärenreiter Urtext scores were exhibited on the bookshelf. I knew that these perfectly edited and printed vocal scores are like music bibles to me. It was the time that nobody would really care about a real decent edition in China. I told my schoolmates, “If you learn the notes from this, then you will sing differently.” Of course, something amazing happened to me. I had my first Bärenreiter Urtext edition of “Don Giovanni” which helped me to win my very first competition.

Bärenreiter has been my music partner during my entire career. It teaches me how to treat music well and how to respect the masterpieces. Walking into the pantheon of music, it’s not that difficult. Just open a Bärenreiter score, there is a galaxy of the greatest music.
