For me, Bärenreiter is not only the undisputed authority in matters of Urtext editions – wonderful to read and perfect to work with as far as the arrangement of the orchestral parts is concerned – but also a reliable partner in the world of contemporary music: the large-scale Mahler-Scartazzini cycle that I and the Jenaer Philharmonie embarked on in 2018, spanning several years and comprising ten commissions from Andrea Lorenzo Scartazzini in conjunction with the complete cycle of Gustav Mahler’s symphonies, would not have been possible without the close collaboration with this wonderful publisher.
