We have been associated with Bärenreiter for decades. Having grown up and received our basic education in the GDR, our first encounter with Urtext was in the form of Bärenreiter study scores. We used them to painstakingly correct articulations, dynamics and other edited performance markings from our antiquated parts by hand. It was not until the end of the 1980s that we received the Urtext of Mozart’s 10 famous string quartets as a gift from a Danish concert promoter. This edition has remained a faithful companion for us to this day. We wish the publisher all the best for the future! It is very important for music what you do!
