My first experience was when I moved to Munich as a young artist and started my career at the Bayerische Staatsoper. I think Die Zauberflöte must have been my first Bärenreiter purchase, as I was singing 2. Dame.

I just remember how clean and organized every page in the score was. It was such a breath of fresh air for me, because I’m a very visual learner, and each page was so well organized and clear to read and follow. I was able to learn much easier and much faster because of the layout of each page.

I continue to enjoy using Bärenreiter scores as much as they are available to me. I prefer to use Bärenreiter, because the quality and color of the paper are relaxing for my eyes and feel so good to touch. The clean and clear layout continues to be the best feature for me as it aids my learning in my very active career as I perform in concerts and operas respectively.

One of the most exciting projects I had using Bärenreiter was recording with Deutsche Grammophon the roles of Cherubino in “Le nozze di Figaro”, and Dorabella in “Così fan tutte” with Yannik Nézet-Séguin conducting. Using Bärenreiter scores made it so easy to read the music as we recorded live Mozart’s glorious music.

I value Bärenreiter’s consistency in quality. These scores and this company are dependable and have been a vital component in the success of my career!
