I have been following Bärenreiter’s Fauré Complete Works Edition, which I find remarkable and extremely important. No editor has ever tried to correct and edit Gabriel Fauré’s work since the death of the composer. I myself was preparing a recording for a second volume of Fauré’s chamber music and was very eager to see the upcoming edition of the two piano quintets. 

Bärenreiter kindly sent me advance copies. In addition to the very clever corrections which answered some issues I had been dealing with for a long time, the printing was very clear, and we used the two scores to record the quintets.
